Have you been struggling with writing and promoting your blog articles? You’re not alone! When I first started writing blogs for my own business, I struggled to structure the article for readability, and then when I was finished, I struggled to drive the reader to my blog. After a lot of testing, we have put together a great checklist to help you write your blogs a lot easier.
6 Steps to writing a great blog article.
1. Identify the Problem
Identify a problem that your reader desperately wants to be solved.
Length: one to three paragraphs.
2. Make the Problem Personal
Don’t just give information, makes your audience care, connect, and want to take action. Create a sense of trust by identifying with the reader by talking about how the issue affects their day to day life.
Length: two or five paragraphs.
3. Explain the solution through a Story
Now that you’ve talked about the problem and made the issue personal talk about how the solution to that problem was discovered.
Length: three to five paragraphs.
4. Solve the Problem
This is where you explain the solution to your readers’ problem. Make sure to remember, don’t get into the solution, until you’re halfway through the article.
Length: as long as you want, but a minimum of three paragraphs.
5. Ask Your Readers to do something
It’s not enough to tell people how to solve their problem. You have to ask them to go do it, showing them each of their next steps. Connect the dots and show how your solution actually solves your readers’ problem.
Length: one to three paragraphs.
6. Ask your audience’s thoughts
Always include a question to their readers. Give it a try!
