How to get customers to leave you a Google review

How to get customers to leave you a Google review

At Get Social YEG, we know that customer reviews are a crucial component of any business’s success in today’s digital age. After all, potential customers often rely on reviews to determine if they want to do business with a particular company. That’s why we highly recommend making it easy for customers to leave reviews, and one way to do this is by providing a direct link to your Google review page.

If you’re not quite sure how to share your Google review link with your customers, don’t worry! It’s a simple process that can be done in just a few steps.

How to share your Google review link with your customers

First, search for your business on Google and find your business page. You should see a section that displays some details about your business, including your contact information, business hours, and reviews. Look for the “Write a review” button, which should be near the page’s top.

Once you click on the “Write a review” button, you’ll see a form where customers can leave a review. But we’re not quite done yet! Look for the three little dots located in the top right-hand corner of the form.

Clicking on the dots will open a dropdown menu that includes an option to “Copy review link.”

Once you click “Copy review link,” a direct link to your Google review page will automatically be copied to your clipboard.

You can then paste the link wherever you’d like to share it with your customers. Some great places to share your review link include your website, social media profiles, and email signature.

Where  to share your Google Review links

When sharing your review link, making it as easy as possible for your customers to leave a review is important. Consider including a brief message in your email signature or social media post encouraging customers to leave a review and thanking them in advance for their feedback. You can also provide clear instructions on how to leave a review to make it even easier for customers.  For example, you could create a step-by-step guide or video tutorial that walks customers through the process of leaving a review on Google.

Can I incentivize customers to leave a Google Review?

If you’re looking to incentivize customers to leave reviews, be sure to follow Google’s guidelines regarding incentivized reviews to avoid any penalties or repercussions.

Should I reply to Google reviews?

In addition to making it easy for customers to leave reviews, it’s essential to respond to reviews promptly and professionally. Whether the review is positive or negative, responding to reviews shows that you value your customers’ feedback and are committed to providing excellent service. Remember that your response is not just for the customer who left the review but for anyone who reads it. It’s essential to be professional, courteous, and respectful. Even if the review is negative, responding positively and constructively can help to mitigate any damage and demonstrate your commitment to customer satisfaction.

Providing a direct link to your Google review page is a simple and effective way to encourage customers to leave reviews. By making it easy for customers to leave reviews and responding promptly and professionally to those reviews, you can build trust with your customers and demonstrate your commitment to providing excellent service. So why not start sharing your review link today and see the positive impact it can have on your business?
